Reacting to the SNP's extraordinary claim today that the Highland Council has £119 million which it can use to fully fund the link from the A82 to the A9 and the A96, Inverness Lib Dem MP Danny Alexander said:
"Once again SNP politicians seem more interested in using bogus facts to score political points and defend a government that is self-evidently letting the Highlands down. Having seen the true facts from the council, I hope these fictitious claims will be withdrawn immediately.
"It is very sad that, after failing to persuade their colleagues to provide the money they promised in the transport projects review, SNP MSPs are not helping to present a united front from the Highlands and make Ministers think again. That is what everyone in Inverness who cares about the future of our City wants to see."
