Reid calls for urgent review of freshwater loch search & rescue

Following the tragic accident on Loch Awe, Alan Reid, Liberal Democrat MP for Argyll & Bute, expressed his condolences to the families and friends of the men who are dead or missing.
Alan Reid MP said:
"This is a terrible tragedy. There must be an urgent review of the search and rescue procedures for freshwater lochs. Having to bring a boat and trained crew all the way from Renfrew is totally inadequate. The system has to be overhauled so that a boat and trained crew can quickly move into operation when accidents like this happen on our freshwater lochs."
